We are proud to invite you to join us for a truly special milestone: This year, we celebrate our Fifth (Quinquennial) annual Quincy Community Juneteenth Trichotomy of Celebrations here in Quincy, IL. This is a momentous milestone, and we are so proud to invite all of you to celebrate our freedom with us.

We will kick this year off with our Community Gala on June 12th, 2026, at the Oakley Lindsay Center. This great event will start at 5pm with a social hour, 6-7pm a scrumptious dinner by Oakley Lindsay chefs and informative program. At 7pm we will have some great entertainment from soulful artist Tirvarrus Hadley of Mississippi plus dance band Bo-Fiya. We will conclude with a dance party led by DJ Stew of St. Louis. You don’t want to miss this so get your dancing shoes on and come ready to party the night away!

Friday, June 12 — Gala Event

Our 2026 Juneteenth Community Gala at the Oakley-Lindsay Center kicks off the weekend with elegance and rhythm.

  • 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Meet & Greet
  • 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Dinner & Program
  • 7:00 PM – Late: Live music featuring STL iHeart Radio DJ DJ Stew
  • Tickets: Available at oakleylindsaycenter.com

Saturday, June 13th, 2026, we will kick off our Community Festival a little earlier this year at 11am at Washington Park, downtown Quincy. This exciting event consists of some great bands such as PC Band, Redd boys youth rapper group, performers such as female saxophonist Rhoda G, singers, dancers, educational games, food and informational vendors, large kid zone which includes bounce houses, sno cones, kiddie train rides, foam party, bingo, cake walk, prizes and much, much more.

Saturday, June 13 — Juneteenth Festival

Join us downtown in Washington Park (N. 5th St.) from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM for a day filled with community spirit. This year’s Juneteenth Festival includes:

  • Entertainment: PC Band, Rhoda G. on Saxophone, Redd Boyz, The Beats Arts Academny, and Black Girls Jump!
  • Activities: Food and local business vendors, Bingo, cake walk, dancing, and historical re-enactments.
  • Kids Zone: Featuring the Quincy Children’s Museum’s bubble machine, a Llama-Llama Kids Dance Party, kiddie train rides, bounce houses, face painting, snow cones, and more!

Sunday, June 14th, 2026, we will conclude with a Musical Concert put on by Gabrielle (Gabby) Green starting at 2pm at Salem United Church of Christ. She will be performing several different musical genres; this is going to be something special. Gabby is a music teacher with the Chicago Public schools, born and raised here in Quincy, Illinois.

Sunday, June 14 — Musical Concert

At 2:00 PM at Salem United Methodist Church of Christ (435 S. 9th St.), we invite you to a special musical performance featuring Quincy native Gabrielle Green.

Gabrielle Creen is a musicial, educator, and arts advocate passionate about cultural expression and music’s transformative power. Don’t miss this Musical Concert!

We are truly grateful for all the support we have received from our community, and we look forward to an even greater response this year! More to come!
